Governor-elect Laura Kelly and Lt. Governor-elect Lynn Rogers announce Inauguration information

Governor-elect Laura Kelly and Lt. Governor-elect Lynn Rogers announced today details regarding the inauguration and plans to include Kansans across the state in the inaugural activities.  

The oath of office for Governor-elect Kelly, Lt. Governor-elect Rogers, and other statewide elected officials will take place at the Kansas Capitol on January 14, 2019, and is free and open to the public. This will be followed by a celebratory inaugural ball that evening. Tickets for the ball will be available for online purchase soon. 

The Governor-elect and Lt. Governor-elect will also be hosting free community celebrations and a day of service on January 12, 2019 across the state in order to involve every Kansan in the 2019 inaugural festivities.

“We are excited to include people across the state in the Inauguration celebration,” said Kelly. “I look forward to working together to rebuild our state. We will begin a new chapter where we invest in our schools, support our families and commit to improving Kansas communities.”
